That begins with quite literally giving you the tools to be able to navigate your own unique body and its intricate myofascial system. In this three month series I will guide you on how to be your own best healer, reset your nagging aches and pains and restore your nervous, immune, and digestive system one self myofascial release at a time.

Monthly Workshops

  • Lower Body and Gut Health: June 28th

    Lower Body Release and Gut Health. Self MFR for your hips, glutes, legs, & feet. MFR promotes circulation which in turn helps digestion and elimination. Your gut is known as your second brain. Learn herbal recommendations and abdominal massage to keep things flowing smoothly. Keep your gut happy and healthy and you will be happy and healthy.

  • Upper Body and Lymphatics: July 26th

    Upper Body Release and Lymphatic Support. Get healthy now and stay healthy throughout the year. This month will include self myofascial release for the chest, upper back, shoulders, and neck. You will also learn gua sha and dry brushing techniques to stimulate lymph flow and bolster your immunity to stay healthy year round.

  • Full Body and Nervous System: August 30th

    Full Body Release and Nervous System Reset. While each month will incorporate at least one restorative posture, this month, it will be the primary focus. Self MFR of the full body will also address common stress areas to help you relax. Learn somatic practices to balance your fight/flight/freeze response & find a state of calm and ease whenever you need.

Your myofascial system is a whole body system of connection and communication.

Often described like a spider’s web, fascia enmeshes with every possible body part. Your fascia not only forms the scaffolding of your physical shape; it provides a neural highway of communication within your body and your environment via its sensory receptors. There is even a special lining of fascia that contains your organs called visceral fascia and the lining of your bones is wrapped in fascia.

It is an essential part of your anatomy and physiology and up until the last 2 decades, its been mostly disregarded and discarded as an unimportant byproduct of the body.

Thanks to researchers and pioneers in the field of fascia like John F. Barnes and Tom Myers as well as the somatic research of Bessel Van Der Kolk , we now know that fascia is not only responsible for holding or releasing our physical aches, but that it stores our emotional pain as well.

The body keeps the score, and addressing and releasing areas of chronic tension in your fascia can be a profound tool on your path toward holistic healing.

And this is why I love to share this work.

Yes, self myofascial release physically feels great, and it can just be that for you! However, there can be room for deep mind & body healing when you bring your body, breath, and awareness to parts of yourself that you have been ignoring and hiding from consciously or subconsciously.

Coming home to the body by way of the myofascial system can be the bridge of creating a more harmonious union not only with your muscles and joints, but also with the way you process and manage stress, boost your immune system, and even the way you digest and eliminate waste.

This three month series will leave you feeling informed and inspired as you will be equipped with all of the tools (literally) to feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally and in your most optimal alignment.

All you have to do is reset and restore.

Meet your fascia facilitator

Hi! I’m Jess.

I’ve been a physical therapist assistant since 2007 and a yoga therapist since 2015. As a holistic movement therapist, my methodology is to help you see your strength and wholeness and learn how to access your innate ability to move, breathe, and live with a little bit of science and a lot of soul. 

I blend of PT based exercises and yoga informed breath and movement with many modalities including self myofascial release with Rad Roller which has been the backbone of my signature style: MVMT THERAPY.

With over 3,000 hours in yoga training and continuing education trainings including myofascial release, primal vinyasa, primal medicine, and women’s studies; I am committed to ensuring you have the most up to date and comprehensive approach to your holistic wellness goals. 

One size definitely does not fit all here.

My mission is to educate and empower you to discover your inner wisdom, strength and beauty within yourself, promoting your journey towards being at ease in your body, heart, and mind and truly experiencing holistic health.

And that mission is truly at the heart of this three month program: REset & REstore.

I have offered a version of this workshop as a one-off and as a group series since 2015 but this is the first time EVER that I am running it with not only the option to join from anywhere in the world via Zoom, but also you will now have a living library of videos and resources that you can take with you anywhere and do anytime so that you feel empowered to be in control of how you are feeling.

In the almost decade that I have been offering this work; I have seen remarkable transformations and received heartwarming testimonials from people who thought they had to live with their chronic pain forever, or had to learn to deal with their crippling anxiety.

Self myofascial release, and complimentary practices like breath-work and meditation, are so profound and yet are so simple! I want everyone to feel like they can make themselves feel better and not have to spend hundreds of dollars going to the chiropractor, massage, or even seeing me every week!

All of the above are great resources but you have the power to help yourself… you just haven’t had the right tools…yet.
